Plantain (Vazahakai/Kele) Bhaji

Nothing can replace a Plantain Bhaji on a rainy, cold afternoon, watching a cricket match, happening in some sunny side of the world.
















Things needed:

1. Plantain (raw) 1
2. Besan Flour 120g
3. Corn flour 1 tbsp
4. Garlic paste 1 tbsp
5. Oil
6. Sodium bi carbonate (a pinch)
7. Chili powder 1 tbsp
8. Fennel seed powder 1/2 tsp
9. Salt

How to do:

1. Peel the skin of plantain and chop a little on both ends.
2. Cut the vegetable length wise, thin pieces.
3. Blend in all the Ingredients except oil to thick batter.
4. Heat oil
5. Dip the plantain slices in the batter and fry it in the oil till its golden brown on both sides and cooked inside. 
6. Serve hot with coconut chutney
