Mangalore Bhaji

Things you'll need:

1. Baking soda 1/2 tsp

2. Green chillies (chopped) 3
 
3. Maida 1 cup
 
4. Ginger (grated) 1/2 inch

5. Cooking oil 2-3 tbsp

6. Bengal gram flour 1/2 tbsp

7. Buttermilk 1/4 cup

8. Salt
 
9. Sugar 3/4 tsp
 
10. Water


 












How to prepare:

1. In a bowl, mix the maida, gram flour , baking soda, sugar and salt.
 
2. Mix water in the buttermilk, pour in maida mixture and prepare a thick batter. Set aside for 1-2 hours.
 
3. Add the green chillies and ginger, mix well.
 
4. Heat the oil in a pan and drop a tablespoon of batter in hot oil. 

5. Fry until gets golden brown color.
 
6. Serve hot with spicy chutney.
